You've been introduced to many characters in the novel so far. Choose one character you think you'd be close friends with. Describe characteristics that you like about that person and why you think you would make good buddies. What activities would you guys do together?
If I could be friends with any one from the book so far I would go with Grayson because he sounds like a good man and he takes good care of Maniac. I like to play catch so I thing me and Grayson would get along well.
ReplyDeleteI would like to be friends with Grayson. I would like to be friends with Grayson because of his personality he seems to warm up to people the longer he knows them. Also I like how giving he is to random strangers he is he seems to be very kind to anyone he meets no matter who they are rich or poor nice or mean. He is a philanthropist; a person how never gives up on anyone he also wants to make that person better than he ever was. Whether it’s being a better person or being a better baseball player.
ReplyDeleteI would want to be Amanda Beale’s Friend. I would want to because she likes reading, just like me. I also have a connection because I have a younger brother. She also stands up for herself and I think that is a great characteristic to have. We would go to the library with each other and walk to school together.
ReplyDeleteI would like to be Amand Beale's best friend. I would want to be her best friend because she likes books as much as I do (although I'm not that protective of my books). I would always go to library or another quiet place to talk so we can help each other find good books. And I'll bet that she would be a very good study partner for tests. We would make great friends!
ReplyDeleteIf I could choose someone from the book to be my friend, I’d choose Maniac. He seems daring and athletic. He’s pretty positive about everything and he doesn’t like to get into problems. He seems a lot like me.
ReplyDeleteA character in the book that I would be good friends with would most likely be Maniac because he is good at sports and enjoys them and we both like to run and enjoy are self’s while we do it. We both also like sweet candies, for example I like all candy and Maniac really enjoys butterscotch krimpets. We would be good buds!
ReplyDeleteThe character that I would be best buds with would be Maniac because he is athletic like me. Also he plays baseball and that is basically softball which I like to play. Other than that I like to read so Maniac and I could read together. That is why Maniac would be a good friend.
ReplyDeleteIf I could be friends with anyone, I would be friends with Amanda because we both like to read. I have alot of books, like Amanda, and I read them over and over again, like her.We could read alll the time together, and we would be good friends.
ReplyDeleteIf I would be friends with anyone in the story, I would probably be friends with Amanda Beale. She likes to read, and so do I! She sounds like a good person, but she also sounds like she has some serious anger issues. I would probably be very close friends with her. I would probably ask to borrow books from her mobile suitcase, though. I would love to be friends with Amanda!

She also likes helping others and doesn’t judge people, and that is something I think is very important. We would go to the nearest pizza place and have a competition to see who can eat the most slices of pizza. We would hang out together all the time!

She also doesn’t judge people around her. If we were friends I think we should have a competition to see who can finish and adult sized smoothie drink!
ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose one character in the book to be best friends with it would be Grayson because he is nice and is caring. He let Maniac live with him and even took care of Maniac. I think that he will be a nice friend and will have fun playing sports with me. So that is why my best friend would be Grayson.
ReplyDeleteIf I could choose a character to be best buds with, it would be Maniac himself. I say this because Maniac and I have many things in common; we both like to run, read, play outside, and meet a lot of people, although we can be shy at times.
ReplyDeleteIf I were to choose one character from Maniac Magee to be my best friend I would choose Amanda Beale. I would choose her because she loves to read, she is kind and very polite. She also has a nice family who does not mind having people over. She seems like just the type of friend I would want to have!
