Many characters in the novel have nicknames. "Maniac", "Mars Bar", and "Hands Down" are all examples. Do you have a nickname? What is it? How did you earn it? If you don't have a nickname, choose one for yourself and explain why you think it fits you.
My nickname is “Son of a Car”. I earned this nickname because if you rearrange the syllables of my name: Car/son, son/Car. Also, it sounds like Son of a Gun, but unlike that, it doesn’t mean anything bad.
ReplyDeleteMy nickname is actually Nick! My real name is really Nicholas but I didn’t really attach to that name. One day someone called me Nick and I was truly attached. So I started to go by the name Nick because it sounded improved.
ReplyDeleteI do not have a nickname. :( But if i had to choose a nickname for myself than it would be "BEAST". The reason that that would be my nickname is because I am a BEAST at basketball. I can even dunk on a regular sized hoop.
ReplyDeleteYes, I have a nickname. It’s A.J. I have the name “Arlen Jaye”, and the first initials spell “A.J.”, which is why I have the nickname “A.J.” (Plus, my mom wanted to call me that, and it stuck with me.)
ReplyDeleteI had one nickname in flag football, and one nickname in lacrosse. My football nickname was Buttercup. I got that nickname from being one of the only girls on the team. The nickname didn't effect my position or anything, but it did make me the center of attention.
ReplyDeleteMy lacrosse nickname was Lightning. I probably earned it by being a strong defender. I don't run fast or anything, so maybe my nickname should have been Thunder...
Okay, to start things off, I have a billion nicknames. Elly, Ellybug, Elysie. My favorites are feral hamster and hummingbird. I'm called hummingbird because I only eat junk food. Mmm... I'm called feral hamster because I am feral. It's that simple.No, really. I can be feral Elyse! Watch me! *Sighs* I get carried away...
ReplyDeleteI have 2 nicknames. One of them is Pasta (corsetry of my father.) My second nickname is Aria Pig. Pasta is because when I was little I was a pasta hog. I would eat the stuff like it was candy! Aria Pig has a little more history behind it. My little sister, Aubrielle was watching a show called Pepa Pig. Everyone was a pig. Papa Pig, Momma Pig, and George Pig. All the sudden Aubrielle started calling every one ‘pig’. Aria Pig, Anique Pig. She even started calling our dogs pigs!
ReplyDeleteMy nickname is Cookie-Puss I got it from my mommy. I have this nickname because there is an ice-cream cake by Carvel and their commercial for it was always on. My mommy thought it was funny and now my nickname is Cookie-Puss. I have many others like Olive, Hinno, Liver, Liver Pools, Liverwurst, Monkey, Dolly and last but not least, Dolly Lama but that’s a whole different story.

My full name is Cristina, shorten that to Crissy (courtesy of Aria) then you say it like a baby. I'm fine with it, cause my moms nick names don't stick as well, like Cristina Banina, and Miss Cris.
ReplyDeleteI have four nicknames. One of my nicknames is Avery A. That’s my nickname because my middle name is Addison. Plus, it's kind of catchy. My Uncle Lee calls me that name all of the time. Here’s another one. During kickball games, Ms.Cepero will sometimes call me "Diva" because I'm so picky about the pitch. There are just two more. My mom and dad (mostly my dad) call me sweetie pie and pumpkin pie. He calls me that because I’m sweet and he’s called me that since I was a baby.
ReplyDeleteMy nickname is Sammy Davis Jr because my middle name is Samuel and Sammy Davis Jr was Jewish like me and he was a one of the greatest entertainers ever.
ReplyDeleteI have lots of nicknames. One of nicknames is Live. That’s what a lot of my friends and family call me. My mom calls me Livvy Lu, she has always called me that, since I was a baby. My dad always calls me sweetie pie. He says it so much it almost has become my real name. My last nickname is Olive. Most of my friends call me that, I don’t know why?
ReplyDeleteMy nickname is Jenna Goo. Only my uncle calls me that. When I was little I couldn't say my last name, so I said goo instead. My uncle still calls me Jenna Goo to this day.
ReplyDeleteYes I do have a nickname my nickname is Lexi. My real name is Alexa. I got my nickname because if you look at the name Alexa, when you take away the first letter of my name and replace the last letter of my name with i it spells Lexi! (ME)
