Tag Along

Both Maniac and Amanda love having books at their side. Imagine you were traveling and could only bring one book to keep you entertained. What book would you bring? Explain why you would choose this book. Could you do many things with the one book in your hand like Maniac?

  1. If I could bring any book with me I would bring Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. The reason I would bring this book is because it would take a long time for me to finish plus it would be exciting. I don’t think I could anything like maniac.

  2. If I was traveling someplace and I could only bring one book I would bring The Lightning Thief because it is an adventure book and it would go along with the trip that I would go on. While I read I would look at sights to see on our trip. The Lightning Thief is one of my favorite books.

  3. The book I would hold is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I would choose this book to hold because it is a really mysterious and suspenseful book. If I would hold the book everywhere there would be a few things I could do without using the other hand or putting down the book. It is because you need two hands to do a lot of things.

  4. If I went on a long journey, I would bring my all time favorite book, Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. It is full to the rim of action, adventure, and a little bit of romance. It's about an eleven year old boy that finds out his father is not your ordinary dad. You'll just have to read the book to find out more.

  5. If I could only bring 1 book with me it would be the K dictionary. This book would occupy me the whole time with new words. Plus it would take forever to read so I would not finish it fast. I could probably catch and punt a football with the dictionary in my hand but after a while it would get heavy.

  6. I would bring Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows. I would bring that book because A) It is VERY long and B) It is one of my all time FAVORITE books. With only one hand I would eat, sleep and read.

  7. The book I would choose is Dairy of a Wimpy kid. I would choose that book because it has a lot of funny jokes in it and funny stories like when Rowley broke his arm by riding a bicycle going down a hill and trying to catch a football. Also I don’t think I could do some of the things Maniac has done with a book in his hand. Like when Maniac punted a ball I could never do that. So that is the book I would carry all the time.

  8. This is a little tough. I love a lot of books and it is hard for me to choose. Okay, I think I got it. The book I would want to bring is Esperanza Rising. It is my favorite book because it includes many things that happened to this poor child named Esperanza and what happens to her. You would think it is all fake but at the end they tell you it is a true story. This would be the book I would take with me.

  9. If I was traveling and could only bring one book I would bring the book "The Dragon of Lonely Island." I chose this book because it is abundant of enterprise. It is also a book you can reread many times. No, I do not think I can do many things with the book in my hand, like Maniac because I would be too busy reading it!

  10. If I could bring one book with me when I travel I would Obi Gerbil on the Loose. I would bring this book because it has much of everything in it. It has some funny parts, some scary parts, some happy parts, and some sad parts. I think I could do much with the book in my hand the whole time because this book is very easy to handle and small in height but thick in pages, so I probably could do something’s with it. Even though this sentence doesn’t have to got with the blog, YOU SHOULD READ THIS BOOK!!!!

  11. If I could only bring one book, I would bring The Allegra Biscotti Collection. It is about a girl named Emma who has a dad who owns a lace company called Laceland, and she has her own studio. When she gets a surprise, she must create a secret identity. Read about Emmas adventure!

  12. If I could bring one book with me it would be Night of the Howling Dogs. I would bring this book because I have read it nine times and I haven't lost interest in it once. I can do stuff with one hand but will only name one and that is I can ride my bike with one hand. I could do that because I have practiced it and the book is very easy to handle. There is one ore thing I need to say: READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. If I could bring one book with me, it would be Where the Mountain Meets the Moon. I never lost my interest because I feel like it takes you on an adventure. I feel like I'm one of the characters in the book. I think you should read this book (It's also a sunshine state book if you're interested). I so recommend it. :)

  14. As some may know I love many books but there is no doubt that I wouldn’t bring “The Beast of Noor.” I would bring this book because 1)It is an excellent book 2) I could read it over and over without getting bored 3) I can run with it and some other things too because it is very light. The book is full of suspense action and fright. I think I would be able to throw kick and run with the book like maniac does. I really think you should read about “The beast of Noor!”

  15. If I was traveling and I could only bring one book, I think I would bring “The Mysterious Benedict Society”! The reason I would bring this book because it keeps me laughing all the time while it still keeps me filled with suspense and cliffhangers. I probably couldn’t do the things Maniac does with one book in his hand, like punting a football. I can’t even punt a football that well with both hands!

  16. If I had to bring one book I would bring "The City of Ember." I would bring it because it is an interesting, exciting book. Every time you read it you still don't get bored, every time is more interesting than the next. It always keeps you excited to read the next chapter. I would probably be able to do some things like running, catching and throwing but not a lot of stuff. It’s hard to use just one hand for lots of sports like the ones Maniac’s playing.

  17. If I could bring one book with me I would bring 11 birthdays because it has a lot of mystical and magical things in it which I look forward to in a book and it is entertaining to me.

  18. If I was going on a road trip I would bring "Calvin and Hobbs." It is more of a comic book, and it is really funny. It is a collection of a lot of mini stories, so if one gets boring I can skip it and move on to the next without getting bored. It is a book that is super easy to read, so you don't have to really pay too deep attention to it if someone decides to talk to you and interrupt your story. This book is funny and enjoyable, and I can read it to my sister if she is bored because she enjoys that, too.

  19. Well, if I could bring any book with me on a journey, it would be a French dictionary. I would choose this book because I always wanted to go to France and if that happens, I will need a dictionary so I can read every single word in the French dictionary and I could communicate with every person in France without having any trouble talking or understanding them. I would not be able to do many things with the book in my hand like Maniac because the dictionary would be twice the size as those other dictionaries in the library. But, I would be able to run a little with it and maybe smack people with it for my safety.

  20. Choosing only one book for a whole vacation, that would be tough! Although I think I would bring “Out of my Mind” by Sharon Draper. It is the fourth sunshine state book I read and once I read fifteen I am definitely reading it again! I thought it was very entertaining and always had a sudden twist every chapter. Another thing I found out about this book is that the main character has the same issues that my cousin has. Even with this book, I don’t know how I could only have one book
